Imagine it’s Christmas morning. The tree sparkles, presents are waiting to be unwrapped, Santa’s cookies have been nibbled away, and the reindeer have left just a few carrot crumbs behind. It’s the magic of Christmas, wrapped in warmth and wonder and we’re here to capture it all.

THE DETAILS
When: Sunday 22nd of November 2026
Arrival: Please arrive on time for your shoot as there will only be a short window between each session.
Location: Tale Thief Photography Studio located in Oak Flats, NSW (exact location will be sent to you in the confirmation email)
Availability: This year I plan to only offer 6 morning sessions. Public release for these session will happen on Friday, 23rd of October at 8 pm with earlier access given to those on my mailing list.

I'M THIA
I'm a photographer based in Wollongong, NSW. I've been capturing stories since 2011, with a love for timeless photographs, genuine connections and all the little moments that make life beautiful.
To me, photography has always been about connection. Whether it's preserving memories with the people we love, creating photographs for future generations to treasure, or capturing moments that bring us back to ourselves.
I've always had a soft spot for Christmas, but since becoming a mum in 2025, I've officially taken on the role of our household's Christmas magic maker! There's something so special about creating those little traditions and memories that I hope my daughter will carry with her long after childhood.
We're the perfect match if you love a little nostalgia, believe in the magic of Christmas and treasure making memories with the people you love.

More About the set
- A cosy, intimate setting: Designed for up to 2 adults and 2–3 small children, with a maximum of 2 adults photographed together at once.
- A variety of portraits: We'll capture a mix of family, sibling and individual photographs where possible.
- Extended families: Please book separate sessions for each immediate family. Due to the size of our Christmas set, we may not be able to photograph the entire extended family together.
- Accessibility: Our set is designed for floor-seated portraits. If you have any accessibility concerns, please get in touch before booking so we can discuss your needs.
FAQ
IS SANTA COMING?
Not this time! He’s busy at the North Pole preparing for the big day! But our cozy Christmas set will feel just as magical.
What if my child is shy or doesn't cooperate?
Please don't worry! As a mum myself, I know little ones have their own personalities, moods and moments.
My approach is relaxed, playful and **child-led**, giving children the space to settle in and enjoy the experience at their own pace. After all, some of the most beautiful photographs come from those natural, unscripted moments.
How long is each session?
Each Christmas Mini Session runs for 20 minutes. This gives us time to capture a lovely variety of photographs without feeling rushed.
As sessions are booked back-to-back, please arrive dressed and ready for your allocated time.
How Many People?
Designed for up to 2 adults and 2–3 small children, with a maximum of 2 adults photographed together at once.
We'll capture a mixture of individual portraits, sibling photographs and beautiful family moments.
Can couples book without children?
Absolutely! Christmas Mini Sessions are for everyone, whether you're a couple, a family with little ones or simply wanting to capture some festive memories together.
What should we wear?
Think cosy Christmas mornings, classic pyjamas, timeless festive colours and beautiful textures.
Creams, warm neutrals, burgundy, soft reds and forest greens photograph beautifully against our nostalgic Christmas set.
I'd recommend avoiding large logos and neon colours
Do we need to bring anything?
Just yourselves, dressed and ready for your session!
For younger children, you're welcome to bring a favourite comfort item or a small, non-messy snack to help them feel at ease.
How many photographs?
You'll receive a carefully curated gallery of the best photographs from your session. I'll aim to provide 10–15 images for you to choose from, although the final number may vary depending on how each session unfolds.
Your package includes 5 beautifully edited digital images, with the option to purchase additional photographs or upgrade to the full gallery.
Can we purchase more photographs after our session?
Absolutely! Once your gallery is ready, you'll be able to select your 5 included photographs, purchase additional images for $30 each or upgrade to the full gallery for $100.
The full gallery includes all additional edited photographs available from your session. I aim to have at least 10-15 images in your gallery.
Is the studio and set accessible?
Our studio is located on ground level, although there are a few raised thresholds at the entrance that may present challenges for those using wheelchairs or mobility aids.
Our Christmas set features a cosy, floor-seated setup, so please keep this in mind when booking.
If you have any accessibility needs or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'd love to discuss your requirements and explore how we can make your experience as comfortable and accessible as possible.
Are there toilet facilities available?
Toilet facilities are not available on-site. Public toilets are available at a nearby park in Oak Flats. We recommend allowing time for a bathroom stop before your session. It's approximately an 8-minute walk from the studio or a 2-minute drive.
Can we change or cancel our booking?
Christmas Mini Sessions are limited and reserved exclusively for you. All bookings are non-refundable due to the limited availability of these sessions.
If something unexpected comes up, please get in touch as soon as possible. Rescheduling is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Alternatively, your payment can be retained as a credit towards a future photography session with Tale Thief Photography.
