I'm Thia from Tale Thief Photography. Thank you for considering me to be your photographer. My approach to wedding photography is simple and heartfelt. It's about building a connection and trust with you in advance, ensuring that when your wedding day arrives, you'll feel comfortable, relaxed, and ready to fully experience every moment.
I'm committed to supporting you throughout your wedding planning journey with an open line of communication. From our initial meeting to pre-wedding consultations, we'll discuss all the details that will make your day uniquely yours. I can help review timelines, and make lighting and location recommendations from a photographer's perspective.
I offer a complimentary pre-wedding photoshoot to give you both a chance to become more comfortable in front of my camera and for us to get to know each other. I encourage you to take this up as it allows me to understand how you both interact and gives you an insight into how I shoot and direct. I'll ensure a natural and memorable experience without any awkward poses. It's like a practice run for your big day.
On your wedding day, I aim to capture genuine moments as they unfold, from candid interactions to heartfelt embraces and joyful celebrations. I can't wait to be part of your journey and create photographs that take you back to your wedding day.

The booking process
To secure your date, a 25% non-refundable retainer & signed contract are required.
I offer flexibility in the remaining payments. You can choose to send/make smaller monthly payments for the remaining balance with the following criteria:
50% of the Balance is required 6 months prior to the day.
75% of the Balance is required 3 months prior to the day.
The remaining balance is due no later than 4 weeks prior to your wedding date.

Do you shoot destination weddings?
ABSOLUTELY! Let me know your ideas and I'd be happy to create a photography experience that will suit your needs
Travel Fee?
Travel and accomodation fee may be applicable depending on location. No travel fee required for locations 1 hour from Wollongong.
Do I have to order prints through you?
While I deliver the images in high-resolution images without a watermark, I can not guarantee the quality of prints purchased outside of Tale Thief Photography.
Turn around time
You can expect to receive your images approximately 12-16 weeks following your wedding, with sneak peeks popping up within the next few days following your wedding and a Highlight gallery well ahead of the indicated time above.
Can I extend on the day of the wedding?
Sessions extended on the day of the wedding will be charged at $500 per hour.
How many images?
I do not put a cap on the number of images I capture, however, the number depends on the number of hours covered as well as the details and activities occurring throughout the day. You will receive roughly 50-100+ images per hour of coverage.
What kind of gear do you use?
I'm a Canon girl with a preference for Sigma lenses. On your wedding day, I will be doning the following gear:

- Canon 85mm f/1.8
